Vegetable:
A vegetable with orange pulp with a green and white skin. Being a yellow vegetable, it is rich in Vitamin A, and it also has several other vitamins and minerals.
It is often steamed with salt, black pepper and some butter and served as a side; grated in vegetable fried rice. A Caribbean favourite is also pumpkin fritters. Many Indian dishes cook it with curry spices and is a staple for Hindu celebrations.
